Revealing John's life in detail. This video in five parts reveals the way John McEnroe was portrayed by the British Press as a brilliant tennis player. The video fails to show John's true brilliance on the court and concentrates on his outbursts. Amazing footage of John from being very young and his family and friends give fans a treat into appreciating his brilliance for becoming a champion, in the face of such negative publicity. I would like to see more shows about John, but would like to see footage of his amazing ball placement, his drop shots, lobs, shots down the line. It was those shots that caused the crowd to love him. He pulled out those shots with amazing timing and placement, and that is what I will remember him for. He was unique and truely gifted. His outrages which are common amongst 'gifted' people made him a hero. He stood up to authority something few of us have the courage to do, knowing he would be judged but so commited to truth and fairness that he was willing to take the risk in damaging his reputation. Hope you enjoy these videos, but please keep an open mind about John, some comments may be biased. |
